Heart Breaking Harford's Economic conditions "Hartford and America" by SchiffGold

Hartford and America: Suffering the "Consequences of Political Malfeasance"
  by
Peter Schiff, the gold and silver guru writes about the worsening economic conditions of Hartford, the capital of the state of Connecticut.
Hartford was going through budget and spending crisis for more than a decade, ultimately reaching a level where nations two rating agencies S&P and Moody's downgrading Hartford Economic condition to a Junk status, and the city might default on its obligations may further lead to bankruptcy as early as November. Schiff's piece came up just two days ago, but several days earlier, the WSJ published a report on the ratings on Sept28
WSJ: Hartford Downgraded Further Into Junk Status
Moves by S&P and Moody’s cites increased likelihood of default as early as November
By Joseph De Avila
Two credit-ratings firms on Tuesday downgraded the city of Hartford further into junk status, citing an increased likelihood of default as early as November.
Schiff digs further into how did the city of Hartford reached this stage, further expanding the understanding that not only city of Hartford, but the once wealthiest state of CT, the state as a whole is in trouble too, owning 3.5Billion debt and close to 70Billion in pension liabilities etc?... It does not look for the city or state economically and otherwise, what about other cities and states nationwide, read the piece here.....LINK

Its triumphant publication proves it was well worth the wait. Few scholars have written with greater insight about the psychology of Lincoln. No one in recent history has uncovered more fresh sources than Michael Burlingame. This profound and masterful portrait will be read and studied for years to come." Six organizations have agreed to collaborate on a school reform effort unlike any other in the country that will involve eight of Connecticut’s most challenged schools. This unique collaboration will be funded, in part, by a $250,000 award from the NEA Foundation and a $480,000 appropriation from the Connecticut General Assembly.
While Sen. John McCain was inside the convention hall rehashing tired Republican themes in his acceptance speech—including more tax cuts for the wealthy, school vouchers and free-market healthcare reform—thousands of members of the AFT and other unions were knocking on doors across the country on Sept. 4 to spread the word about why Sen. Barack Obama is the only candidate who is looking out for the interests of working families.
A new national TV ad campaign launched on Labor Day highlights the critical issues facing America's struggling middle class. The ads—produced by American Rights at Work—are part of a coordinated effort among labor unions, workers' rights advocates and other groups to build on broad public support for the Employee Free Choice Act as a way to help create better jobs.
